Scope and Content
Photograph of a view of Elstow: a view of Wilstead Road with the entrance to Pear Tree Farm in the foreground on the left. It also shows the Whitbread Estate thatched cottages. Practically all the large elm trees shown here were blown down in a great gale one Sunday night in the early 1930s.
Produced by the Photographic Unit of Bedfordshire County Council from original negatives made in the 1920s-30s.
