Visit of the Abyssinian Omoi to Kew to meet George III. Tell Polwarth his hay got in last week, 50 "tun" (100 load); his oats look well; I have made use of his new green walk, have not suffered the chaise to come upon it, his gates also meet with my approbation. Mama went once to his kennel, but nobody being then there, she only looked in at the keyhole, which set the dogs into an uproar; Trapp is quite a domicile, by same means that brought him into your family, insisting on it; when sent to Silsoe, so miserable, would not eat, so now remains here entirely. Papa has been civil to him. Surprised Sunday by evening visit from Lord and Lady Torrington, convoyed by Sir George Osborn; their going out the country before our public day was their reason for coming.
