    a) Certificate of birth of Robert Richards at Souldrop in 1704 b) Extracts from registers of Souldrop for baptisms of children of Robert Richards, showing Thomas, afterwards Reverend Thomas Richards of Bromham, his heir c) Affidavit of Miss Ann Richards of Wells Street, Bedford, spinster Remembers grandfather, Robert Richards, formerly of Souldrop, gentleman, who during latter part of life lived at Bromham, with his son Reverend Thomas Richards of Bromham, the deponents father. Robert Richards died at Bromham and was buried there in 1785, aged about 81, the deponent being then about 14. Deponent understood her father, Thomas was only surviving heir of Thomas [? Robert] and that she believes for 20-30 years before his death Robert Richards was the owner of 2 cottages and premises in Souldrop. Said cottages and premises descended to deponents father. Deponent has had 6 brothers and sisters: Thomas, eldest son and heir of her father, who was a surgeon, died at Gedney Hill near Wisbeach, Lincolnshire, about 7 years ago leaving a family William, who was a surgeon in the army and died in London, 30 years ago, unmarried Elizabeth, who married William Ratcliffe of Stagsden and died about 11 years ago Martha, who married Samuel King of Bromham and died about 7 years ago Sarah who married Joseph Tompkins of Stagsden and died about 9 years ago John, who lived at Weston near Bath and kept a National School, and died there about 12 years ago, unmarried Deponent's father continued in possession of said cottages up to death in 1799. He died intestate and admon taken out by deponent's mother, Ann Richards. On death of father, deponent's brother, Thomas took said cottages as eldest son and heir at law and sold them to William Hanger signature : Ann Richards witness: Alex Sharman, Master Extraordinary in Chancery 23 Sep 1834 d) Affidavit of Mary Lightfoot, wife of Thomas Lightfoot of Souldrop, carpenter, aged 80 next January Deponent remembers Mr Robert Richards, formerly of Souldrop, gentleman, who owned 2 cottages in Souldrop, now property of Richard Radborne and occupied by Daniel Ekins and Martha Gibbins. Deponent remembers her mother and father, Miles and Sarah Maxey, lived in cottage now occupied by Daniel Ekins and Thomas Evans, then Parish Clerk, lived in the other. Miles Maxey rented cottage from Mr Robert Richards, "a person addicted to drinking". Deponent's father and mother left cottage about 67 or 68 years ago when deponent about 10 or 11, they were turned out by Robert Richards so he could occupy the cottage himself. Parents then moved to house in which deponent now lives. Robert Richards lived in cottage for 3 or 4 years and then went to live with his son, Thomas, at Bromham. This Thomas reputed to be only surviving heir of Robert, he had 7 other children, but they died young. signature : mark Mary Lightfoot unwitnessed 15 Sep 1834 e) Letter from Box & Son, Doctor's Commons, to James Murphy esquire, solicitor, Wellingborough. Can find no will for Mr Robert Richards between period 1784-1795 17 Sep 1834 f) Certificate that Archdeaconry Court of Bedford have searched for will or admon for Robert Richards between 1784-1795 but have found nothing 23 Sep 1834 g) Certificate of burial of Mr Robert Richards of Souldrop on 31 July 1785 at Bromham. Also letter stating that Miss Richards has no information on her grandfather's marriage but Mrs Wells of Biddenham, "a fine old woman of 93 and niece of the parties" says he married a Miss Ingram, whose father was a clergyman holding the living of Souldrop. Miss Ingram's father was dead when she married but her mother may have been alive and lived with her daughter and husband after their marriage. 23 Oct 1834 h) Certificate of marriage of Reverend Thomas Richards of Biddenham and Ann Richards of Souldrop, spinster, by licence, at Souldrop 9 Sep 1762 Certificate of burial of Elizabeth Radbourne, widow aged 50, at Souldrop. 17 May 1834 i) Certificate of baptisms of children of Thomas and Ann Richards, and of burial of Thomas Richards and his wife, Ann. All take place at Bromham. 17 May 1834 j) Pedigree of Richards family 16 Sep 1834 k) Certified extract of grant of admon of goods of Reverend Thomas Richards, late of Bromham, to his widow, Ann in Sep 1808. Sworn at under £600 (Undated) l) Certificate of burial of Mary, wife of William Hanger at Felmersham 15 Oct 1811 17 May 1834 m) Acknowledgment of Deed by married woman i) James Murphy and George Burnham, both of Wellingborough, gentlemen, and Commissioners to take acknowledgment of deeds by married women ii) Mary, wife of Richard Radbourne, late of Souldrop, but now of Tingewick, Buckinghamshire, farmer ii) acknowledges as her deed, a deed dated 30 Oct 1834, between (a) Richard Radbourne and wife Mary (b) John Barber Tuck of Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, grocer (c) William Murphy of Wellingborough 30 Oct 1834
