    Recites 15 July 1661; 21 July 1666 In consideration of "faithful services by the said Richard Bayley rendered to the said John Lord Ashburnham and his family for an uninterrupted course of many years" and for securing payment of an annuity of £50 for Bayley for life and then to his wife Bridget "as a mark of the particular esteem and kindness" which Ashburnham has for Bayley ... close called Park Field (24 acres); close called Park Hall (20½ acres); close of meadow called Old meadow (20 acres); several closes called Marston Lawn, and the Paddocks (54 acres); all late parcel of Ampthill Great Park in occupation of Robert Squire, gentleman: With proviso that Smith and Sherard shall demise the premises to Ashburnham (see S/AM10) Endorsed with memorandum that Richard Bayley died soon after the making of the indenture, that Sir Edward Smith then married Bridget, who is also dead, and that Smith has received the arrears of the annuity
