    Release Parties: (i) Thomas Gwyn Elger of Bedford, builder; John Elger of Grosvenor Square [Middlesex] builder; (ii) James Maynard of Bedford, wheelwright Reciting: - lease and release of 1-2 March 1836 in which (1) William Greenhill, clerk and (2) James Wadman Alexander, clerk and Caroline, his wife conveyed (a) and other land together forming 9 acres to (3) Thomas Gwyn Elger and John Elger subject to two annual rent charges of £1/4/- and £1/16/- respectively; - indenture of 4 March 1836 in which (1) George Peregrine Nash who had bought the other part of the nine acres not comprising (a) indemnified (2) Thomas Gwyn Elger and John Elger against paying the rent charges comprising £3 Operative Part: - (i) released (a) to (ii) for £89/8/6 Property: (a) land in Bedford, Saint Paul opposite the county gaol lately being an orchard or garden occupied with the Dragon or Green Dragon fomerly in the occupation of James Dennis, then John Palmer, then John Mowbray, late William Coombs and is now staked out for building ground measuring on N and S 17 feet, on E 118 feet and W 118 feet 11 inches bounded: N by Saint Lloyds; S by a road made by (i); E by property sold by (i) to George Larkins; W by property sold by (i) to William Hinde Witnesses: - George West, clerk to Pearse & Son of Bedford, solicitors; - Charles R Carter, clerk to Thomas Gwyn Elger; - Eleanor Elger of Bedford; - Thomas Gotobed of 82 Great Russell Street, Bloomsbury
