    i) John Pulley of Bedford, surgeon, and Ann his wife (nee Bedford) ii) William Bedford late of Hitchin, Hertfordshire, but now of Friday Street, London, merchant, and William Pulley, clerk, Vicar of Clapham iii) Joseph Eade of Hitchin, gentleman iv) Charles Warren Gibbon of Hitchin, gentleman Recites: Marriage settlement, 30 June 1806 1) John Pulley 2) Ann Bedford, spinster (now wife of 1) 3) William Bedford and William Pulley consideration: intended marriage of 1) and 2) certain estates of 2) settled in trust on 3), but with power for 3) to call in and dispose of the funds or securities and invest them at the direction and with the consent of 1 & 2 Whereas: i) had contracted with George Sharpe for the purchase of the premises, and with consent of wife Ann, John Pulley had applied to ii) for an advance of the sum of £1,120 and to accept mortgage as security Recites: HT1/18/25 & 26 whereas: sum of £1,120 was actually paid by ii) at the request of i) NOW consideration: £1,120 paid by ii) to John Pulley, i) grant to ii) for 500 years - premises in HT1/18/25 & 26 repayment: £1,120 and interest at 5% on 18 August next, in the south porch of the Royal Exchange, London Recites: HT1/18/4, 6 and attachments to HT1/18/6 NOW consideration: 5s. pd. by iii) to iv), iii) (at direction of ii) assigns residue of term of 1000 years to iv) in trust for ii) till repayment be made, and thereafter in trust for i) endorsed: receipt by John Pulley to iii) for £1120; Acknowledgement by ii) that the sum of £1,120 mentioned in the mortgage deed had been lent to them by William Wishere of Hitchin, 16 August 1814; Acknowledgement by ii) that the principal and interest had been repaid, with an undertaking to assign the term of 500 years, dated 12 March 1839; Receipt by the Right Honourable Thomas Lord Dacre, surviving executor of the will of William Wilshere that the money had been repaid to Wilshere on 21 December 1816 - receipt dated 4 April 1839, witnesses: William Whitworth John Hawkins, Clerk to Mr. Eade, Hitchin signatures: John Pulley, William Pulley, Joseph Eade
