- will of George Gunton late of Bedford, retired draper of 22 October 1889 appointing his wife Ann and (i) as executors and trustees and devising them the residue of his real estate in trust for sale;
- death of George Gunton on 7 November 1889 and proof of his will on 18 November 1889 in Northampton DPR;
- death of Ann Gunton on 6 October 1891without power of sale having been exercised

(a) piece of land in Bedford, Saint Cuthbert containing 3,036 square feet with a frontage to Howbury Street of 33 feet and a depth of 92 feet bounded: N by land of George Bower; S by property late of Edward Dawson Rabbitt; E by Howbury Street; W by land late of George Bower together with two messuages known as 44 and 46 Howbury Street in occupation of Mrs Freebore and Mrs Brightman respectively and which had been conveyed on 3 August 1889 by (1) James Ward; (2) John Carrington Conquest; (3) John Browning Hartop and (4) James Hartop to (5) George Gunton
