    i) James Horsford of Bedford, builder ii) Trustees of the Bedford Charity Recites: HT1/17/1 lease by i) to ii) for 52 years wanting two days, from 11 October 1841, expiring on 9 October 1893, of - two messuages or tenements in Well Street in the parish of St. Paul, Bedford, with outhouses, buildings, yards and gardens belonging, built by i) on the site of a messuage formerly in the occupation of John Lovelidge, afterwards of Thomas Lovelidge, since of John Frohock, late of James Horsford, and one messuage now in the occupation of Thomas Jagg, and the other late in the occupation of George Rickward and now unoccupied [Plan in margin, with dimensions] :N. Well Street :W. grounds of Thomas Lovelidge :S. and E. freehold ground of Trustees of the Bedford Charity, lateley purchased from i) Annual rent: £42..10, by equal portions quarterly on 6 January, 6 April, 6 July, and 6 October.
