– A piece of sward in Grovebury Field in Grovebury Bottom containing 1 acre bounded north by the hedge of the land of John Millard shooting over the footpath and towards the road called Penley Way, leading to Wedlock Stile Piece, south by land of John Stubbe (intended to be surrendered to Thomas Brown), east by 3 lands in occupancy of John Procter and the footpath leading from Claribole Close to the said road and west by the ‘Hade’ of copyhold land late belonging to headland of John Stubbe (surrendered to John Norman). Recites conveyance dated 21 December 1771, of John Eavestaff of Leighton Buzzard, gardener, to Edmund Stubbe. Witnesses: David Lee Willis & Jeremy Willis.
