Scope and Content
Note: The property to which the deeds in this bundle relate originally comprised two adjoining messuages in Well Street, Bedford. By 1809, the premises were occupied by five tenants and there was a blacksmith's shop on the site. These six cottages were purchased by Robert Palgrave in 1809, and he subsequently sold them off seperately in 1810. In the following list the deeds which relate to the whole property are listed in section A, and sections B to G deal with the deeds of the individual properties after 1810
