    i) William Foster of Bedford, Doctor of Law, John Goodall of Bedford, gentleman, Thomas Bedford, late of Bedford and now of Great Barford, gentleman ii) Mary Yarnton of Bedford, widow, and Catherine Rose of Bedford, widow consideration: £45 paid by Mary Yarnton to William Foster, and £45 paid by Catherine Rose to William Foster, and 5s. paid by ii) to John Goodall and Thomas Bedford, i) grant to ii) - two messuages or tenements in Sheepscheeping alias Angel Street in the parish of St. Paul, Bedford, now or late in the occupation of the said Catherine Rose and Ralph Neale :N. messuage, tenement and ground now or late of Martha Paradine, widow :S. messuage or tenement now of late or Randolph Taylor :E. Angel Street :W. ground of ... together with the well, and all outhouses etc. The messuage in the occupation of Ralph Neale and all the ground and backside used therewith, and the fence of pales next the ground of the said Martha Paradine used with the said messuage, and so much of the middle fence as extendeth from the same messuage into the middle of the said well, and that moiety or half part of the said well as is now used with the said messuage, to the use of Mary Yarnton. The other messuage in the occupation of Catherine Rose and all the ground and backside used therewith. and the fence next the ground of Randolph Taylor, and so much of the middle fence as extends from the middle of the said well westward, and a moiety of the said well, to the use of Catherine Rose Property subject to term of years created by Mortgage of 7 May 1669 [as recited in HT1/11/1], and to HT1/11/1, by which the term of years was assigned to William Yarnton in trust for ii) endorsed: Livery of Seisin; receipt by William Foster to Mary Yarnton for £45 witnesses: Benjamin Haselden John Pepiatt F. Brace Junior seals: five applied on paper wrapped on tags, with representations of fortress, fleur de lys, anchor, and heart (2) signatures: All parties (marks of ii) 30 September 1698 Note this deed is also endorsed in a later hand, "House Mrs. Kath Cobb lives in".
