    i) George Wells of Bedford, victualler ii) John Rawlins of Bedford, wine merchant iii) The trustees of the Bedford Charity Recites: HT1/9/12, 14 & 15, 16 Whereas: Trustees have agreed with i) for the purchase of the property, and ii) has agreed to extinguish the term of 1000 years NOW consideration: £800 paid by iii) to i), i) declares property to be held to the use of iii), and for 10s. paid by iii) to ii), i) and ii) grant to iii) - messuage or tenement with appurtenances, being the corner house by Wells Street on the west side of Angel Street otherwise Sheeps Chipping in the parish of St. Paul, Bedford, sometime in the occupation of Elizabeth Hornbuckle Ames, and now or late of Madwell Green - messuage, cottage or tenement erected by Elizabeth Hornbuckle Ames on the curtilage of the messuage, now or late in the occupation of widow Goddard endorsed: receipt by i) to ii) for £800 also endorsed [1971]: note of registration of freehold title in H.M.
