Abstract dated 1963 of deed of covenant drawn up on 14 March 1960 regarding woodland at Millbrook

Parties: (i) Forestry Commissioners (ii) Angus Chambers Lyell, Owen Johnston Humbert and John Hugo Russell Baron Ampthill Property: (a) 3047 acres in parish of Millbrook Operative part: - (2) enters into forestry dedication covenant with (1), by which property (a) not to be used otherwise than for growing of timber without consent of (1) - covenants in Schedule 2 to be observed by (ii) - (i) to give (ii) financial assistance as set out in Schedule 3 - in event of breach of covenant by (ii) then (i) entitled to take over management and development of land - (ii) entitled to release from the covenants if notice given to (i) and (i) do not decide to take over management within 12 months - any land which proves unsuitable for forestry purposes may be releases Schedule 2 (Covenants): - in use of (a) for growing of timber (ii) to give effect to provisions of plan of operations approved by (i) - (ii) to carry out works in accordance with approved plan - (ii) to keep forest records - (ii) to take reasonable precautions to protect woods - if (ii) sells any part of (a) to give notice to (i) Schedule 3 (Payments): - planting grant of £20 per acre stocked with trees to be paid by (i) on completion of work - management grant per acre to be paid by (i) of 18s for first 100 acres, 12s for second 100 acres and 7s for remainder
