- Scope and ContentCol. & Mrs Seymour [Bathurst] set off yesterday for Dover; writer supposes they will cross to Calais today. Mr Bathurst’s mother has gone to meet them in Paris. Was sorry to see Lady Stuart de Rothsay [Margaret Stuart, nee Yorke] has come to England, as it will prevent any party at the ambassadors. [Charles Stuart, 1st Baron Stuart de Rothsay, was ambassador to Paris 1928-1931]. Emily sends best regards – her little boy was delighted with the snow prints [Possibly refers to Emily, wife of Rev. Charles Bathurst – married 1830]
