Details the divisions of the army. '...I should have liked to hear you read that paper to your Debating Society. Last Saturday week we formed a sort of Peace Congress in which I took the part of France: in the end the Congress broke up in disorder as Italy changed sides at the last moment!
Well the holidays aren't far off now - What Ho for Merry Brighton and the long breezy sea-breezes, but not much battling before breakfast to begin with, I'm thinking!!
Pa & Ma came down here the other day and gave me lunch at the White Hart in return for which I gave them tea at m'tutors Reg left about 5 oclock and I believe returned home safe. The usual S Andrews Day matches were played on Saturday, but I expect you have seen pictures of them in the Mina [?] which I believe you take in. I must close now so farewell till the 17th.
