Rain so much that she feared coach might not be able to get through the flood, but succeeded. Sorry new pantomime is a poor one - thought the story of Prometheus ought to make good entertainment. Not surprised the Bishop's sons performed well, they have a genius for acting, also comic humour; her own speak blank verse well but don't seem to aim at anything more. Mr Philip says he did not know Monsieur Le Texier at the Hague, but he was at the Prince of Orange's where Sir Joseph heard him read; he believes he left France because of a duel. [It must be 1776: refers to Bishop) (Amabel has written "1776"].
