- Scope and ContentIs levelling North court; gravel terrace will be lowered according to steps at entrance of door at North front. It will be a month before end of chapel is complete. There should be a row of broad flat stones next house along North front. Mr Woolfe came, has been all over the house with him; much yet to do; some rooms in North front now ready for papering; bell-hanger from London needed; Woolfe recommends 2 strong plain bath stoves for 2 new rooms (now servants' hall and stewards' room). The kitchen range is very old, and bars very small and weak; length 6´3´´; it will be made cheaper and better in London. Coming to London 6 June.
