“I have remembered that some twenty years ago my cousin was digging in the garden where Wells House stood when he unearthed two Elizabeth I coins. During a drought some fifty years ago my uncle Tom was digging out the spring in Bedwell Hole as it almost went dry. He unearthed two Constantius coins so it seems that the Romans used it”
