Christening: godson Philip cried and did not behave quite so well as his elder brothers. Godmother not practised, had rehearsed in the morning "but when I came to play my part I did not exactly know how to give him to the Bishop and still less how to take him back again. Tommy's exemplary gravity during service, afterwards played about, and carried brother (as he believes) across the room; at last sent to bed in good humour. Frederick also good, but would not approach Lady Yorke (rouge and black patch). Theatre - Mrs Crawford.
