Lord Joseph - could wish to see him, but not fair to take him from Mrs Yorke. "Once in many years at last then she does seem to be easy and happy... her restless turn of mind." Visit to Studley to see Mrs Allanson; greatly improved and modernised, though traces of old false taste remaining (detailed description). References to Mrs Aislabie. No time left to describe Mr Weddell's, which owes everything to art and may be called a contrast to Studley.
