Road tolerably good, though one post-horse tumbled, but was not hurt. "The upper road across the fields is much better than Sir George Osborne's common." On arrival sent for housekeeper, and found she had no keys to give the latter "for neither you nor I had ever thought about the key of the bureau (nor the tea-box). Pray be so good as to send them or tell me where they are." Without this she could not get into the bowling-green to the statues. Death of Duke of Atholl.
