    1) Philip Perry, Edlesborough, Buckinghamshire, yeoman 2) John Foster, Ballingdell, Whipsnade, Bedfordshire, husbandman Robert Sayell, Edlesborough, yeoman SETTLEMENT by 1) in consideration of a marriage to be solemnised with Mary Smith of Ballingdell in the parish of Great Gaddesden, Hertfordshire, widow, and for provision of a jointure for Mary should she survive her husband, this settlement to be in lieu of right of dower, being COVENANT by 1) with 2) to stand seized to uses in: - 6 and half acres arable in Edlesborough: - 2 and half acres lie together in Robins Field, Dots Downe furlong, land of Richard Shreeve north, and Francis Martin south - 1 acre in Church Field in Beane furlong, land of George Baldwin north, and John Burr south - half acre in same field in Bazeley furlong, being a foreshooter at the west end, land of Richard Brugis junior north, and abutting towards east on Church Deane furlong - 2 throughout acres lying together in Middlecroft Field in Walton Bush furlong, and Beane Mead furlong, next to the land of Henry Atkins north and land of Robert Nash south, abutting west into Walton Way and east on Bean Mead in Charle Mead - one half acre in Middlecroft field next to land now or late of Francis Tillcocke on south and abutting east on Gossmead to hold to his own use for life, then to the use of Mary his wife for life, then to the use of his own heirs marks of John Foster and Robert Sayell witnessed Richard Atkins senior scrivener, Richard Atkins junior, Esther Alee endorsed “My antes ginter” [my aunt’s jointure]
