- Admin/biog historyA neat, but prolific writer, whose letters contain a minimum of information. Her marriage seems to be not altogether happy, and she seems to lead a lonely life at Stocken, without children, varied by visits at weekends to her husband's home at Normanton, Rutland, and annual visits to her parents at Wimpole, and to [the Whites?] Wallingwells, Nottinghamshire (unexplained, but at her husband's wish). Their visits to Wrest are very few, apparently owing to her husband's inertia. She mentions her sister, Lady Anson; her brothers; her parents; and obliquely the drawbacks of her own life]. Very few dated. Stocken is in Strettton parish, Rutland. Typed transcripts of all letters.
