    Insurance Policy No. 183872 from Sun Fire Office initially issued to Thomas Wortham, gentleman, of Royston, Hertfordshire on 22 July 1761, in relation to properties in the town. Policy covers: three tenements under one roof in the tenure of William Adams, labourer, Edward Brown, glover, and Thomas Cordwell, wheelwright, property being timber and tiled. Policy cost 4s annually due on 24 June each year. Signed by trustees of the society: B Godfrey, Nicholas Linwood, Crispin Gascoyne and J Green. Witnessed by: Thomas Seabrook and Thomas Woodcock. 1 July 1772: Interest in the policy becomes the property of Hale Wortham in trust for himself, Mary, Elizabeth, Thomas, Ann and Sarah Wortham, heirs to the within mentioned Thomas Wortham deceased. Entered by agent H Biggin. 20 December 1795: Interest in the policy becomes the property of Ann Wortham, spinster, sister of the above named Hale Wortham deceased. Entered by agent Benjamin Cherry. A receipt for a premium paid on this policy is logged as catalogue reference Z180/51.
