  • Admin/biog history
The school opened in September 1896 with the distribution of coupons ‘gained by the pupils who attended the class at Waller Street last winter.’ Classes were in arithmetic and book-keeping. In September 1898 numbers were too low and the board transferred students to Waller Street. In September 1899 the school was more extensively advertised and boys working in Std VI but intending taking labour certificate in October were enrolled on a separate register. Geography and History were taught. In September 1900 reading, writing, composition and drawing were taught but numbers remained low and in November the board closed the school.
