    i) Daniel Snowe of London, gentleman, son and heir of Richard Snowe late of London, deceased ii) Peter Osborne, esquire and son John both of London DEMISE for 500 years for £45 10s 0d per annum by i) to ii) - house and site of late monastery of Chicksands with church, steeple and churchyard of said monastery - all messuages, dovehouses, ‘fyshinge’, orchards, ‘appleyeardes’, gardens and land thereto belonging - all demesne lands of late monastery - the ‘dayrie house’ of the late monastery with appurtenances - closes lying with the lordship of Chicksands called Oxe close, Bowe close, Mare close, with three little closes lying by the river in Chicksands between Bedlowe and Cockshott Close; with free warren on all said premises - lordship and manor of Chicksands alias Chixsand and all tithes of the monastery in Chicksands and Dean - woods called Inwood (30 acres), Lordes Wood (40 acres) and Appley Wood (40 acres); which premises were granted to Richard Snowe and wife Elizabeth by letters patent 28 February 1540 Witnesses: William Clerke; Anthony Higgons; Hugh Bast
