The addressee is Mrs. C. N. Smith, Wellingborough and the message reads: "Silver Street, Stevington Dear Mother Hope you are all well, as it leaves us so. Maggie and I went out for a ride yesterday afternoon at 2 and we got to Bedford and went shop window fuddling and got back home at 4 for tea and hadn't told G. and A. that we were going. Remember us to all that enquire of friends. Hanah Curtis died last Friday night and was buried on Monday. We went to see it. With best love from Maggie & Arch'.
