Lindsell of Biggleswade, Esquires (Landlords) 2) C.P. & F.W.Goode and R.O.O.Webb of Headley Steam Mills (Tenants) recites the Lease for 60 Years from 24 June 1869 1) Great Northern Railway Company (Landlords) 2) George Powers (Tenant) NB especially Clause reserving landlords power to build a second tunnel under Regents Canal on west side of red dotted line marked on Plan enclosed with this document. Company would remove buildings Rent £150 per annum 31 December 1870 recites 1) applied to G.N.R. for modification of the Lease. Second tunnel has been sometime since constructed. a) piece of land at York Road ,Kings Cross, Middlesex abutting N Regents Canal S Albion Public House W other property now or late belonging to Great Northern Railway Company E York Road (land with a total area of 1306 square yards) AND Mill and Mill buildings built on it (See PLAN on tracing paper) b) Engine, boilers,driving belts, fixed and moveable machinery ("& effects" deleted) Note in red ink "As the Beam Engine is to be removed there will be only one engine" Rent £400 per annum for first 6 years and £500 for the residue
