I’ve been wondering ever so many times if he as been gone, for hw told me not to write till I heard from him again and that over a fortnight ago. Albert Underwood told me that Sues two boys have gone up, well if that’s tight she wont half be in away. Well, we have had one of the chaps up here go and down himself last week mother, he went home about fortnight ago, and when he came back they said he seemed to be in trouble, the next day he was missing, and was only found the other day in Alyesbury canal*. I shall be home Saturday afternoon if you don’t hear from me again shall close now with best love”. * This is probably 6572 Private Robert William Webb, born and resided Huntingdon who is buried in Aylesbury Cemetery.
