The offical programme describes the entertainments:- 1) speech by Mr John Boyd-Carpenter MP 2) performances by Ampthill Town Silver Band 3) mounted gymkhana 4) Punch & Judy shows, fortune teller, pony rides, sideshows, stalls, etc. 5) helter skelter lighthouse 6) dance hosted by the Young Conservatives in the Drill Hall, Ampthill, with music from the Dixieland Jazz Group of Luton 7) presentation of silver cups & hunting crop by Mr A. T. Lennox-Boyd MP.
