Report of "Curious Case of Damage at Campton" relating to George Powers removing buildings from farm at Campton. Jury found George Powers guilty but recommended Mercy. Judge paid an especial tribute to T.J.Hooper, alleged by the Defence to have instigated the prosecution from malice. "If there was a more straightforward and honourable gentleman in the county of Bedford than Mr Hooper, then it was a fortunate county indeed."
