Admiralty. Proposed journey taking Blenheim etc. en route. "Poupee" giving fashions. Duchess of Bedford with a party at Wrest to show it to Lady Louisa Trentham. "They were at the Hill House by daylight, they say, but walked over the garden by moonshine." Took the altar for an antiquity. 13 Aug 1748. [Admiralty]. [To Miss Talbot]. Did not receive her letter in Staffordshire, but at Woburn where there was too great a crowd to write [1748].
