  • Scope and Content
    Black and white postcard of a photograph of the at Barton near Luton, landscape orientation, showing the cutting at Barton-Le-Clay looking north. The road [now the A6] is lined with telegraph poles. About a third of the way down the road, there appears to be a one-legged man standing with a walking stick and about halfway down the road, a horse and small carriage are travelling towards the camera. Postcard is unused, is labelled as a Real Photo Post Card on the reverse and published by A.E. Nichols of Luton. Postcard is entitled "Barton Cutting, Nr. Luton" with the publisher details and a series number of 107 on the front.
