Deed of Leasehold of farms and land at Nether Dean, Bedford from a John King, Doctor of Divinity of Chelsey, Middlesex to a Francis Plowman, Yeoman of Nether Dean, Bedford dated 22nd September 1704.
Document was presented on 20th September 1973 by Mr S E D Fortescue of Messrs Fortescue & Sons Solicitors of Hazledean, Station Road, Leatherhead, Surrey acting as executor for the late Mr A W G Lowther, whose collection was bequeathed to the Soceity of Antiquaries through the Surrey Record Office.
Articles of Agreement for the lease from John King to Francis Plowman for the farm and lands at Nether Dean are for 3 years at £36 per annum.
The Deed is witnessed by Richard Johnson, Esq and with the mark of Judith Eurin, a servant to Mr Johnson.
The Deed is signed and sealed by Francis Plowman.
