Bundle of correspondence etc. a) regarding sale of Preference Shares in Buenos Ayres and Ensenada Port Railway Company of 8 Drapers Gardens, Throgmorton Avenue, London EC 30 Apr-10 Jun 1881 b) 2 payments Charles Powers and to the trustees £750 and £220 23 Jun and 5 Sep 1881 c) letters from Annie Powers to T J Hooper including: how is money invested of Annie Powers and sister Mary and what interest to have in the £6000 have been having 4½% “Hugh tells me that the money is now all out of the business” 8 Sep 1881 same to same (from Basmead Manor [Eaton Socon]) £500 invested in St Andrews, did not fetch that when last sold 12 Sep 1881 same to same (back at Riverford) ask for cheque of £40 thinking everything would be settled “I did not think you would be much surprised at my not being very anxious to have much to do with my cousin Fred after you told me the difficulty there was getting interest from him and of another unfair thing he did” 3 Oct 1881 requests cheque for £40 would like to know how much more money due until 28 April 24 Jan 1882
