including J F Barker, Cambridge Road, Langford (Assistant Overseer) to T J Hooper regarding £4..6s..6½d rates due 14 Jul 1884 F Conder to Hooper and Company seen Walker regarding reserve prices for lots, thinks they are high; as sale is now by order of mortgagee “you will not be altogether set down by his opinion, tho:- you would like to do the best for him no doubt” 18 Aug 1884 letter from J F Barker, to Hooper and Company notice put a man in possession for taxes owing from J C Walker tried all he could to affect conciliatory settlement. Added to amount 8s.- a man 2 days and 3s. levying distraint; instruct Conder to pay before proceeds to sell, otherwise keep sufficient good to make money (for 5 clear days) and then proceed to sell 24 Mar 1885
