    Joseph Newman of Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, draper and wife Elizabeth surrendered out of court on 29 September 1774 by hands of Samuel Davis, steward -messuage with one orchard, one garden and one pightle adjoining, 20 acres 1 rood land, 2 acres 1 rood meadow in Little Mead and 2 lots of meadow in Great Mead in Millbrook, heretofore Birdseys -18 acres 3 roods land in the common fields of Millbrook -2 acres and 2 lots meadow sometime belonging to messuage called Lycetts -toft or site of messuage called Folgonns and one orchard and one pightle belonging and 11½ acres land in Millbrook -close of pasture in Millbrook called Fenshams -several copyhold lands, 18 acres; also ½ acre one swarth and one lot of meadow formerly belonging to messuage called Lillingstones -18 acres pasture in Millbrook called Great Vices and Little Vices all now in occupation of Cornelius Deacon to use of Right Honourable John Earl of Upper Ossory who is admitted by Alexander Gordon his attorney rent: £2..16..0 fine: £8..8..0 23 May 1776 Letter of Attorney i) John Earl of Upper Ossory ii) Alexander Gordon of Ampthill, gentleman Witnesses: John Guittait, William Blewett 1 May 1775
