    Indenture made between a) Robert Luke Howard, Eliot Howard, Robert Samuel Lloyd and Henry Fox Howard all of 90 Whitecross Street London and of Luton in the county of Bedford, manufacturing Engineers and Brass Founders trading in copartnership at Whitecross Street under the style of Hayward Tyler & Co and at Luton under the style of Hayward Tyler & Howards and b) Samuel Lloyd Howard C.B. of Goldings, Loughton, Essex. 19/12/1872 Indenture made between a) Robert Luke Howard, Eliot Howard and b) Samuel Lloyd Howard. Premises conveyed to Samuel Lloyd Howard and his heirs for sum of £2000 with interest at rate of £4.10s per centum per annum. 16/09/1874 Indenture made between a) Robert Luke Howard, Eliot Howard and b) Samuel Lloyd Howard. Premises conveyed to Samuel Lloyd Howard and his heirs for sum of £3000 with interest at rate of £5 per centum per annum. 19/12/1877 Third Principal Indenturemade between a) Samuel Lloyd Howard, b) Robert Luke Howard and Eliot Howard and c) David Howard. A transfer of the mortgage and further charge. 19/12/1877 Fourth Principal Indenture made between a) Robert Luke Howard and Eliot Howard and b) David Howard. A second further charge on the piece of land with premises in Luton, of £2500. 11/08/1896 The three several principal sums of £2000, £3000 and £2500 secured by the first, second and fourth principal indentures (total £7500) remain owing to David Howard but all interest has been paid up to date. David Howard transferred £7500 to a joint account in the names of David Lloyd Howard, Robert Howard and Francis Alfred Howard. £100 was paid to David Lloyd Howard, Francis Alfred Howard and Bernard Farnborough Howard as a reduction in the mortgage of £7500, leaving £7400. Robert Luke Howard, Eliot Howard, Robert Samuel Lloyd and Henry Fox Howard covenant to pay Samuel Lloyd Howard to pay £4000 with interest on 30th June 1897. Thereafter any principal money outstanding together with interest at £4 per cent per annum in equal sums to be paid twice yearly on December 31st and June 30th. Robert Luke Howard and Eliot Howard, owners, agree to convey to Samuel Lloyd Howard a piece of land of 3 acres 2 roods and 0 perches, together with buildings and machinery, situated on the south side of Crawley Green Road in Luton, in security for £7400. Until the loan is repaid, the premises to be insured for at least £12000. Any future buildings erected will be included in the securities. Repayment in full will not be required for 5 years unless 12 months prior written notice is given
