- Scope and Content(relate to lots 8 and 9 below) [HF41/2/16/43] Tithe No.495 Out of Court surrender by James Weston of Biggleswade, gentleman to use of Charles Powers of Tempsford, miller (in consideration of £800 – crossed out) 11 Sep 1846 said Charles Powers admitted All those 2 cottages or tenements (formerly 1 cottage or tenement) bakehouse with flour shop over, stable, shed and loft over etc. Shortmead Street, Biggleswade when it was 1 cottage, was formerly in occupation of Samuel Holden afterwards of Sarah Allen, then of Thomas and William Albone then late of William Roberts and – Ibbs, afterwards of Mary Roberts, widow and John West and then of Jeremiah Banks and John West And 2 newly erected tenements or dwelling houses at the back in occupation of Edith Norton and Jeremiah Banks And piece of ground in or near Shortmead Street, Biggleswade adjoining to first described premises on east end of them in length 32 feet and in breadth 14 feet with barn or building thereupon sometime since erected, formerly and for several years in occupation of Benjamin Walter, blacksmith and afterwards of William Roberts and then of John West, Edith Norton and Jeremiah Banks or one of them [to which James Weston had been admitted 11 August 1846 under conveyance] 1) Mary Roberts of Biggleswade, widow 2) Abraham Roberts Martin Roberts 3) James Weston (purchaser) 26 Apr 1850 made 1900
