Circular letter from Sidmouth to Grantham : The salary of the county Inspectors by whom the weekly returns of the prices of corn in the 12 maritime districts of England and Wales are made to the receiver of corn returns in London, is only £13p.a. and is inadequate. Parliament is considering legislation, but meanwhile magistrates are advised to supplement these salaries through a county rate.
