The time is not far hence when the voice of the people will be raised against cruel unjust taxation and over paid officers the time is not far off when the old stock will be called upon to clear out and new blood be put in their places to lessen the burden of rate payers and add a little more comfort to the poor. Mr Gladstone has a poor mouth and is the working mans friend but his rest thur....' (sic)
