    Presentment that Thomas Taylor, victualler, John Browning the elder, cornfactor, John Allen, farmer, Cain Ashford, farmer, Joseph Addington, yeoman, Thomas Mobbs, farmer, William Stratton, labourer, Joseph Stokes, labourer, Jabez Auton, labourer, James Miles, labourer and James Audley, labouer with other evil disposed persons to the number of 50 or more did on 5 June, unlawfully riotously and routously assemble and gather together to disturb the peace and an assault was made on Henry Tingley. It is further presented that defendants did unlawfully make a great noise and disturbance and remain there for the space of an hour or more. Further they passed and repassed along the Queens Common in contempt of the law. The defendants plead Not Guilty and are not be tried by 12 good and lawful men of the county of Bedford.
