to honoured and aged father (born 1698) James Thompson - interest of £800 to sister Isabel Field - £100 to Isabel's 2 daughters (Frances and Mary) - £50 each to 2 daughters of late brother James Thompson (Mary Ann and Sophia) - £100 each to friend Samuel Robinson of Hull, ship's chandler - 20 gns to Catherine Smith of Hitchin, - £10 to Mr. Jackson, surgeon - 5gns. to Robert Jones and Dinah Sawyer, both servants at the Barns - £5 each. to J. Smith, testator's son by Catherine Smith - residue of personal estate is to be used for his maintenance, and he is to have possession at 21 - remainder to nieces (£100 each to Mary Ann and Sophia Thompson, and residue to Frances and Mary Field.) to old friends Isaac Coxall and Mr. Halstead - 5gns each 15 March 1802. Testator died 14 May 1814. Proved P.C.C. by Mr. Barnard only 7 March 181
