Scope and Content
The volumes are all 'Smiths Farm Account Books' with printed columns for receipts and payments under various headings.
Alfred Inskip divided each book into two sections; the first half gives the weekly wage bill against the coded names of the workers, while the second part is the day book, detailing receipts and disbursements. The balance sheet for the end of the year (usually late September or early October) is given at the front of each volume.
