Will proved by i) as executors (Principal Probate Registry) on 3 March 1865 i) put the property up for sale by auction at the 'Plume of Feathers' Inn, Leighton Buzzard on 9 January 1866 at which sale ii) was purchaser of lots 3 and 7 at £436 now in Consideration of £436 paid by ii) to i) i) convey to ii) - plot of freehold ground in Great Billington (27 perches) North (part) - private road North (part) - Primitive Methodist Chapel South - Trustees of Billington National Schools East (part) - Chapel East (part) - high road from Leighton Buzzard to Hemel Hempstead - barn erected on said plot at northern end thereof and now in occupation of ii) land and barn being Lot 3 and coloured pink on plan - plot of freehold land in Stanbridge in Twenty Acre Field (1 rood 38 perches) North & East - Thomas Stevens of Billington South - Perpetual curate and churchwardens of Billington West & South West - private road numbered 6 awarded to Thomas Stevens in exchange for 1 rood in Michaelmas Close - so much as is freehold in plot of land in Twenty Acre Field containing 6 acres 2 rood 9 perches North - Trustees of late Earl of Bridgewater East - 1st allotment to James Warner South (part) - Lord Leigh South (part) - John Leyburne Popham West (part) & South (remaining part) - Mary Ann Pettingall West (part) - private road numbered 6 also i) transfer to ii) - such parts as are leasehold in - said recited plot of land containing 6 acres 2 roods 9 perches lands etc form lot 7 and are laid together as one field and coloured green on plan to be held by ii) for remainder of term of 499 years from 29 September 1648 Signatures of all Endorsed receipt plan Witness George Cholwich Wade, Dunstable, Bedfordshire Arthur Whyley, solicitor, Leighton Buzzard
