    Reciting a court baron of 28 May 1874 at which it was presented that John Birdsey, late of Leighton Buzzard dealer in earthernware, who held (2d Quit rent) - plot of land in Brook Furlong, Leighton Buzzard (3 roods) South - turnpike road South West - John Birdsey North West - John Sharp North East - John Birdsey to which he had been admitted on 31 May and 1 June 1849 as heir of John Birdsey, deceased also (at 6d Quit rent) - plot of land in Brook Furlong (3 roods 25 perches) South - turnpike road South West John Birdsey West - John Sharp and John Partridge North East & East - William Kent and wife, Ann Newland to which John Birdsey was admitted at same court on surrender of John Hide and wife, Elizabeth also (at Quit rents of 8d and 8½d) - plot of land in Summers Piece, Leighton Buzzard, (2 acres 1 rood 17 perches including public footways) West (part) Sandy Lane North - Francis Goodman East - Mary Wheeler (as next described) South (part) - Claremont (old enclosure formerly belonging to Mary Wheeler and then Thomas Kent) West & South (remaining part) - old enclosure called Butler's belonging to Grace Millard - plot of land adjoining Stoppings Stones Road, Leighton Buzzard (2 acres 36 perches including public footway) except slip of road - 13 perches - being part of South side) East - Stepping Stones Road South - Claremont West (part) - above allotment to Mary Wheeler North - Francis Goodman West (remaining part) & North (remaining part) John Birdsey to which John Birdsey was admitted tenant on 8 and 9 June 1854 on surrender of Charles Ridgway and Thomas Kent also (at Quit rent of 2d) - plot of land in Brook Furlong, Leighton Buzzard (2 roods 26 perches) South - turnpike road South West - children of Robert Clarke. deceased North West - John Sharpe North East - John Birdsey said plot of land was awarded by inclosure commissioners to John Birdsey in lieu of copyhold lands in Leighton Buzzard late George Hickenbottom's said John Birdsey had since died is now presented that John Birdsey had made his will dated 22 January 1874 in which he devised said lands as follows (subject to payment of annuity to Josiah Wheeler) to Samuel Hopkins and William Brown on certain trusts. Said William Brown, Inspector of Nuisances, and Samuel Hopkins, farmer, are admitted tenant on payment of Quit rents and fine of £68
