- Scope and Contenti) conveys to ii) - plot of ground with warehouse and other outbuildings standing thereon adjoining the Corn Exchange in Leek End, Leighton Buzzard being part of Chalfern's Hall, to which i) was admitted tenant at a Court held for the Manor of Leighton Buzzard otherwise Grovebury on 13 and 14 June 1867 and which were enfranchised on 31 August 1869 (as in map on deed and shown in pink) - plot of land used as a garden situate in Friday Street (2 roods 18 perches) with stables etc standing thereon East - public street South - Water Lane West - John Dollin Bassett North - other land heretofore sold by Charles Pettit to Henry Pettit (from which it is divided by a brick wall 9 inches thick erected at joint expense of i) and Henry Pettit, the southern half being built on land of i) and northern half on land of Henry Pettit - coloured yellow in plan on deed) said land being part of Gravel Pit Piece (1 acre) and also part of close called Back Side or Back Yard (1 acre) which were formerly copyhold but were enfranchised on 12 April 1866 - Union Piece in Leighton Buzzard (3 acres 38 perches) North - Charles Ridgway East - public footpath South - Guardians of the Poor of Leighton Buzzard Union West - private road hereinafter mentioned said piece of land formed part of allotment of 18 acres 1 rood 38 perches awarded by Inclosure Commissioners to Edward Ashwell (and shown in brown in map on deed) - free and perpetual right of roadway for ii) along roadway of width of 18ft to and from Grovebury Road and said plot of land to secure repayment of said £1650 and interest i) also agrees to surrender to Lord or Lady of Manor of Leighton Buzzard otherwise Grovebury - 3 messuages, shops etc with warehouse and yard at rear in Leek Street, Leighton Buzzard now in occupation of Thomas Cook and Charles Dean Mortimer, music sellers, John Haskins, hair dresser, and i) (as in map on deed coloured blue) to which property, and property first described i) was admitted tenant at court on 13 and 14 June 1867 and described as Chalferns Hall [occupiers and bounds given] to be held by ii) subject to a proviso for redemption on payment of said £1650 and interest it is declared that money advanced belongs to ii) on a joint account.
