    Reciting will of Edward Ashwell, Leighton Buzzard, Esq, dated 10 November 1792, by which he devised all his real estate to wife, Ann Ashwell, for life, subject to payment of annuities to people long since deceased. After death or remarriage of wife, then real estate to Sir Jonathan Lovett, bart, and Samuel Davis, junior, on trust for use of Charles Ashwell for life, and then to his sons, then to Edward Ashwell and sons, and then John Ashwell. Will proved on 14 April 1795 (Prerogative Court of Canterbury ) by Ann Ashwell, widow Ann Ashwell died in January 1835, Charles Ashwell in February 1798 without male issue John Ashwell by will dated 24 July 1841 devised to his son Edward Ashwell the remainder in estates at Leighton Buzzard to which he was entitled on the death of his brother, Edward Ashwell, subject to payment of £100 as annuity to wife, Cahterine Ashwell and to payment of annuities also to sisters, Mary and Ann Ashwell, and to payment of £6000 to Truman Tanqueray and John Cooper, junior, to be invested in Government Stocks and held on various trusts. Will proved on 25 January 1842 (Bedford) Edward Ashwell, by will dated 3 May 1861, devised his remainder in the estates at Leighton Buzzard, expedtant on decease of uncle Edward Ashwell to i) in trust for sale.
