    Reciting that Charles Bowler by will dated 24 December 1804 devised his property to his wife for life and then to children, Richard, Mary, Charles and Thomas (Catherine having been admitted with her father to some copyhold lands “which I consider as equivalent to her share”) Will proved 13 October 1806 at Bedford Charles Bowler died on 10 January 1812. Richard Bowler died on 17 May 1822 leaving a child who died an infant. Mary Bowler, widow, died on 12 October 1829. As a result 3 x ¼ parts became vested in Thomas Bowler and 1 x ¼ part in Mary Summerley (who married William Summerley in October 1811) now in Consideration of natural love and affection which i) have for their children Mary Summerley, with consent of William, appoints that ii) shall hold property mentioned in deeds of 25 and ,26 May 1831 on trust to convey the same, which with the consent of Mary Summerley, he conveys to iii) on trust ii) with consent and approbation of i) release to iii) - property as mentioned in lease and release of 25 and 26 May 1831 and now described as: cottage now divided into 3 in Hockliffe in Chalgrave where John Morgan, deceased, formerly dwelt, Richard Atwell and Charles Bowler afterwards dwelt and where William Summerley, senr, John Green and Thomas Chapman do now dwell - cottage lately erected and adjoining first mentioned cottage on the South, now in occupation of John Tingey West & East - late Benjamin. Cross and now John Purrett West - Watling Street Road South - Richard Gilpin, Esq - messuage now divided into 3 at Water Eaton, Bucks, once in occupation of Charles Bowler and now of William Toothe, and - Colemen,,and - and which was purchased from Thomas Hart by Charles Bowler grandfather of Charles Bowler, deceased, and by him from Samuel Wilmin - other messuage now divided into 2 in Water Eaton where Charles Bowler the father formerly dwelt and where Bernard Bowler afterwards dwelt, now in the occupations of Edward Turney and William Cook - site of blacksmith's shop which lately stood near the same, in Water Eaton - orchard and small plot of ground on East side of said orchard, formerly purchased by Charles Bowler, the grandfather, from John Straw West - once John Purcell, now Philip Duncombe Pauncefoot Duncombe, Esq. South - common green North & North east - once John Purcell, now William Goodman said orchard etc is now converted into garden ground to hold to use of i) and longer liver of them and then as provided by will or otherwise to William Summerley, junior and Mary Ann Tingey as tenants in common Signatures of i), ii) and iii) Endorsed Witnesses Arthur Ashfield, solicitor, Leighton Buzzard Nathanial Stonhill, his clerk Joseph Woodman, Leighton Buzzard 6 June 1834 also Endorsed with acknowledgement of Mary Summerley 15 September 1834
