    considers £20 down and £10 every half year during Mrs Gresham’s life “most excessive”. Premises built more than 150 years ago “and perhaps much more”. formerly 2 separate dwellings but for over a quarter of a century let together, one of houses turned into a washhouse and from that time virtually uninhabited, last inhabitant of this house was an old pensioner of Mr Gresham who did not pay rent. Regarding stable formerly occupied by Ellis and Everard was leased to Frederick Gresham including repair, i.e Wells etc. successors in title to Frederick Gresham should take on liability for repairs. Mrs Gresham not entitled to receive rents till F Gresham liquidated last year. All she has received are £5..5s. She has paid out £11 to repair roof; tenant agreed to paper and paint the inside to colour and paint the outside done so And built a new chimney, reckons he has spent nearly £40 on the property i.e. total of £50 spent on the property this year, i.e. all a tenant for life can be expected to do. “the best part of these premises have been put in better repair than they have been for years”
